1. Purpose of the Optical Measurement Studio

ActualRingSize provides browser-based optical measurement utilities for estimating ring inside diameter, finger width, watch case/lug-to-lug wrist proportions, diamond millimeter geometry, and international size conversions. All tools are provided free of charge for informational and personal reference purposes.

2. Screen Calibration & Measurement Accuracy Disclaimer

True 1:1 physical scale on a digital display requires accurate user calibration:

• Mandatory Calibration: Uncalibrated displays default to nominal browser pixel densities (typically 96 PPI), which do not reflect the true physical millimeter pitch of your monitor, tablet, or smartphone. You must calibrate the display using an ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 standard card (85.60 × 53.98 mm) or our device PPI presets before taking a physical reading.
• Viewport & Zoom Sensitivity: Changing browser zoom, OS display scaling, or moving the browser window across monitors invalidates physical scale. Always recalibrate if your viewport changes.
• Bespoke & High-Value Purchases: Human finger dimensions fluctuate with temperature, hydration, time of day, and ring band profile (comfort-fit vs. flat-interior bands). Before ordering non-resizable eternity bands, platinum engagement rings, or bespoke haute joaillerie, we strongly recommend verifying your digital reading with a physical jeweler’s mandrel or metal sizing gauge.

3. Limitation of Liability

ActualRingSize and its creators shall not be held liable for any resizing fees, return shipping costs, restocking charges, or damages resulting from jewelry, watches, or gemstones purchased based on measurements or size conversions obtained on this website. All tools are provided strictly on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

4. Brand Trademarks & House Conversion Scales

References to third-party luxury houses, watchmakers, or grading laboratories—such as Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and GIA—are used strictly for nominative, comparative, and educational sizing reference. ActualRingSize is an independent metrology studio and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these trademark owners.

5. Intellectual Property

All custom SVG optical reticles, deterministic metrology algorithms, brand identities, and editorial guides on ActualRingSize are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may freely generate and print sizing sheets or share measurement links for personal or commercial jeweler-client consultations, but you may not scrape, republish, or clone the studio software without prior written consent.
